Li Keqiang Meets with Indonesian Guest

On the afternoon of April 12, 2018, Premier Li Keqiang met at the Great Hall of the People with Special Envoy of President Joko Widodo and Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan of Indonesia.

Li Keqiang expressed that China and Indonesia face each other across the sea and share extensive common interests. This year coincides with the 5th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership. China stands ready to, together with Indonesia, intensify high-level exchanges, strengthen the alignment of the "Belt and Road" initiative and the development strategies of Indonesia, give play to economic complementary advantages of the two countries, and push forward cooperation in such fields as infrastructure, investment and production capacity, so as to enable the development of China-Indonesia relations to not only benefit the two peoples, but also be conducive to promoting regional peace, stability and prosperity.

Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan expressed that he, as Special Envoy of President Joko Widodo this time, came to China to promote the strategic integration of China's "Belt and Road" and Indonesia's "Regional Comprehensive Economic Corridors", and deepen bilateral practical cooperation, so as to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. He welcomes Premier Li Keqiang to visit Indonesia, in a bid to further promote the constant and healthy development of bilateral relations and cooperation.
